ABOUT ME
Like most people who become multihyphenates, it happened to me by accident. I started my first theatre company because I wasn’t in love with the opportunities coming my way, didn’t have the money to pay for more summer programs or work for free for a credit- the usual. I wrote my first film for a role. I directed and choreographed the first time because I was asked to. And slowly, everything changed. As it always does.
I make my full time living as a film and theatre multihyphenate. I’m an actor who also- I produce, write, choreograph, direct, I serve on faculty for institutions, I consult. I’m booked more than I ever thought and I support a family entirely from work in this industry and without burning myself to the ground.
To top it off, I’ve coached for years. I’m a superb generalist, I have an immense understanding of people and their key roadblocks, and I have a broad skill set and understanding of the industry as a whole. In the last year alone I’ve produced a feature film with major talent and sales representation, appeared in three films and four stage productions, choreographed three shows, and sold a script. I’ve just recently signed on to produce another feature that’s fully set up, optioned another script, have a full spec plate, and more acting work coming up. What I mean is, I walk this walk.
What does that have to do with you? Here’s what I can say for sure. I have no desire to build a consulting or coaching empire. I do have a desire to serve the other “also” artists out there who either are struggling to make their main thing the main thing, get their secondary things to serve their main thing, find career momentum, take control of their time so they still have a real life, break the side hustle gridlock, amplify their income streams, and get back some time to be a human being again. So here I am, taking on small numbers of amazing artists that are ready for more.
There are old old stories out there telling you that you have to be one thing. And more stories out there telling you that this is all impossible and offering you definitions of success that seem just as impossible or selling you quick fixes that don’t seem truthful.
I instead bring a million years pre coaching of being that friend who helped people find jobs, then the years of coaching (both business and performance coaching) and consulting on productions, my years in indie film and theatre and big budget, my time on both sides of the table and camera, and my knowledge of traditional and untraditional industry to offer this:
I can teach you skills, offer you insights, ask key questions, and develop actionable strategy that will dramatically change your career. I can offer you community and accountability to your goals and steps. I can create a space where you can get to the bottom of your habits and roadblocks, use your existing resources more efficiently and effectively, and bravely venture into spaces you’ve never explored before. Then we’ll make it all work- for your career vision, your bottom line, and your real life. I facilitate transformation.
If that sounds like a transformation you’re ready for, let’s talk more.
I’d love to help you build a career that looks and feels like you. That sets you up for a sustainable life without giving up the passions that make you unique and valuable.
